Amber Creek Condos News
Found: Chocolate Brown Trash Container
Do you know this guy?
We found this cute little feller wandering down Creekside in the Thanksgiving winds.
A cute little chocolate brown mixed breed, he (or she...can't tell) answers to Dumpster, Trash Can, Bin, Waste Receptacle, and a few others.
He's very laid back, doesn't eat much, doesn't do any tricks, and could use a bath on the inside. We submitted his id code to the authorities (Arrowaste), but they apparently don't keep records. A forensic analysis of interior residue yielded no clues about the owner.
As you can see, we've relocated for temporary safe-keeping to a cozy spot alongside the service shed on Amber Creek. Please email ambercreekcondos@easyhoa.email if you know this guy's home!

P.S. Medal of honor to Al Pike for braving the holiday windstorm to rescue this poor creature. As far as we know, no umbrellas were lost during the rescue operations.

Smoke Detector Batteries
Time Change? Smoke Detector Battery Change!
The Fall time change is a great time to check or change your smoke detector batteries!
Call 616-878-9174 if you need help changing smoke detector batteries. Our Byron Center Fire Station #1 is out here often changing smoke detector batteries and helping people replace old alarms. They're happy to do so, and say they'd much rather come out and do it than have someone get injured in a fall.
Our association no longer lends out ladders for smoke detector work due to the liability risk.
Beware The 10th Year
Smoke Detectors should be replaced every ten years. Newer models will chirp and shout at you when they need replaced. Best to be proactive and replace them before they do that--or worse yet, fail to do their job! Calling 616-878-9174 will also get you help choosing and installing a replacement.
